Affiliate disclosure
At the time of writing, no link on SwipeWise earns us a commission. Every "See official terms" button goes to the issuer's own page through our /go/ redirect, which exists so a link can be swapped in one place if that ever changes. We have not signed up to any affiliate network and take no payment from any issuer.
The site is built to carry affiliate links later, because running it costs money. This page describes the rules that will apply if and when that happens, and it will be updated before any paid link goes live.
If a link is ever paid
- The button label changes from "See official terms" to "Apply via partner link", and the link carries
rel="sponsored nofollow". - The disclosure bar at the top of every page changes to say that we may earn a commission.
- Where we have no paid link for a card, its button keeps going to the issuer's own page, so most cards will never be paid links.
- If we are approved by an affiliate network, we will name it on this page.
What does not change
Rankings, ratings and "best for" lists are calculated from published card terms by code that does not read affiliate links or payouts (a test in the repository checks that the ranking modules never import the affiliate module). Commission rates are not an input. A card that would pay us nothing, or that we recommend against for your spending, appears wherever the calculation puts it. Our methodology sets out the calculation and editorial policy how we handle sources and corrections.
Why this matters for you
A commission creates an incentive to push a card you may not need. Credit card interest of about 3.4% to 3.99% a month on unpaid balances, as printed in the issuers' own MITCs, costs far more than most rewards return, and a card is worth applying for only if you will pay the bill in full. If a page ever reads as if it is pushing a card, tell us.
Compliance
We aim to follow the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) guidance on disclosing material connections in digital advertising. If you believe a disclosure is missing or unclear, contact us.
