Fee maths: There is no annual fee to recover, so value depends only on how much of your spend lands in rewarded categories. On our 6 profiles it nets from ₹861 (first card, light spender) to ₹10,020 (frequent flyer), equal to 0.2% to 0.7% of spend across the profiles.

After fees and caps, best-case redemption. Use your own spend.

Our take: A card with no annual fee but a ₹5,000 joining fee. Its appeal is the milestone (3,000 bonus points, about ₹1,500, at ₹5 lakh in a year) and double points on weekends; complimentary lounge access was discontinued in March 2025. Rent, utilities, insurance and similar payments earn 0.7 points per ₹100, one of the few cards that earn anything on rent, but at a small rate (0.35% at ₹0.50 a point).

Reward rates and caps

Spend categoryPoints per ₹100Value per ₹100CapNotes
Fuel 0 ₹0 No cap found No points; 1% surcharge on fuel above ₹30,000/cycle from 15 Jun 2026
Bills & utilities, Rent 0.7 ₹0.35 No cap found Utility bill payments, insurance premiums, government services/charges, education institute fees and real-estate/rental payments earn 0.70 RP per ₹100 on Legend (official IndusInd revision notice); rent rate effective 20 Jan 2022. Points earned only on spends up to the assigned credit limit per statement cycle. Modelled for utilities and rent only.
Everything else, Other online shopping, Amazon, Flipkart, Groceries, Dining & food delivery, Flights & hotels, Entertainment & OTT 1 ₹0.5 No cap found 1 RP/₹100 on weekdays, 2 RP/₹100 on weekends (official issuer page, re-read 30 Oct 2026); medical, automobile, telecom 1 RP all days. Modelled at the weekday rate only: the weekend doubling is not counted because it depends on when you spend (it would add roughly 0.14% of spend if 2 of every 7 days of spend fall on weekends, at ₹0.50 a point)

Point value: Official Legend Cash Credit T&C: 1 RP = ₹0.50 cash credit. An IndusInd blog (updated Oct 2026) still says ₹0.75 and ₹6L/4,000 RP bonus; the formal T&C pages say ₹0.50 and ₹5L/3,000 RP, which we use.
