How to read this ranking
On a ₹2,00,000-a-month profile (₹24 lakh a year) the fee waiver thresholds of HDFC Diners Club Black Metal (₹8 lakh), HDFC Infinia (₹10 lakh), AU Zenith+ (₹8 lakh), HDFC Regalia Gold (₹4 lakh) and SBI Elite (₹10 lakh) are all met, so none of them is charged a fee here; only Standard Chartered Ultimate's ₹5,000 has no waiver. The top result, HDFC Diners Club Black Metal (₹1,26,922, invite-only), earns the same ₹77,922 of rewards as Infinia (₹86,922 net); the whole ₹40,000 gap is its 10,000-point quarterly bonus at ₹4 lakh a quarter. Points are valued at ₹1, the best case on HDFC SmartBuy flights and hotels; as statement credit they are worth up to about ₹0.30, and at that value both results would be far lower. Portal rates such as SmartBuy flights are not counted.
Break-even matters more than the headline: a ₹10,000 fee is recovered at roughly ₹3 lakh of annual spend at a 3.3% effective rate, but only if you use the lounge and portal benefits. Invite-only cards cannot be applied for directly, and Infinia's own terms require ₹18 lakh of yearly spend (or ₹50 lakh of relationship value) from 1 April 2026 to keep the card. The cards you can apply for in the top four are Standard Chartered Ultimate (₹80,134 after its ₹5,000 fee) and AU Zenith+ (₹55,800). The list shows only cards with an annual fee of ₹2,500 or more and leaves out cards whose applications are paused.
Figures come from the issuers' own terms as recorded on each card page (sources and check dates are listed there). Estimates, not offers.
