Fee maths: The ₹500 annual fee is waived at ₹3,50,000 a year of eligible spend, about ₹29,200 a month. Of our 6 profiles, 5 clear it; on first card, light spender you would pay the fee, which is 23% (₹2,132) of what that profile earns before the fee. On our 6 profiles it nets from ₹1,632 (first card, light spender) to ₹24,876 (frequent flyer), equal to 0.6% to 1.7% of spend across the profiles. Without a waiver, the metro salaried category mix earns back the fee from about ₹3,500 a month of total spend.

After fees and caps, best-case redemption. Use your own spend.

Our take: A good fit if Flipkart, Myntra or Swiggy are where your online money goes: 5% on Flipkart and Cleartrip (a ₹4,000 cashback cap per quarter for each), 7.5% on Myntra, 4% on Swiggy and 1% elsewhere. The ₹500 fee is waived only at ₹3.5 lakh a year. Utilities, fuel, rent and wallet loads are excluded, and Axis has already changed the terms: tolls and bridge or road fees were added to the exclusions from 28 August 2026 (gift cards were already excluded), and aggregators report that lounge access was removed in June 2025 (we found no Axis document confirming that). Read the current notice before applying.
