Fee maths: The ₹500 annual fee is waived at ₹50,000 a year of eligible spend, about ₹4,200 a month. All of our profiles clear that, so the fee costs nothing on them. On our 6 profiles it nets from ₹2,884 (first card, light spender) to ₹14,290 (frequent flyer), equal to 0.3% to 1.6% of spend across the profiles. Without a waiver, the metro salaried category mix earns back the fee from about ₹3,000 a month of total spend.

After fees and caps, best-case redemption. Use your own spend.

Our take: For IndianOil pump users: 5% in Fuel Points at IndianOil outlets, capped at 150 points a month (250 in the first six months), plus 5% on groceries and on utilities, each capped at 100 points a month, and 1 point per ₹150 on everything else with no cap. A Fuel Point is worth ₹0.96 only if you redeem it for IndianOil fuel and ₹0.20 as statement credit, so the same ₹3,000 of monthly IndianOil fuel is worth about ₹144 or ₹30. The ₹500 fee is waived at ₹50,000 of spend in the first year, and rent via third-party apps carries a 1% fee.
